TEAM MANAGERSRESPONSIBILITIES
1.AllTeamManagersmustbe approved bytheir SchoolPrincipal.Allnominationsmustbeapproved bytheTeam Manager appointed by thatschool.
2.While the studentsare notcompeting,theyare the sole responsibilityofthe TeamManager.TeamManagersowe a Duty of Care to their students and are responsible for the supervision and behavior of studentsat alltimes.TeamManagersare totallyresponsible for the conductoftheir riders.Should therebe anyqueriesor problems during the day, the Team Manageris the person designated to negotiate on behalfof therider/school.
3.TeamManagersmustensure thateach rider’sequipmentisSAFEand are responsible for their team.Smooth soled boots and the following helmets willbe allowedand must be tagged:
●Current Australian standard AS/NZS 3838(2006 onwards) provided they are SAI Global marked.
●New Australian standard ARB HS 2012provided they are SAI Global marked.
●Current American standard ASTM F1163(2004a or 04a onwards) provided they are SEImarked.
●Current American standard SNELL E2001.
●Current British standard PAS 015(1998 or 2011) provided they are BSI Kitemarked.
●Interim European Standard VG1(01.040: 2014-12)with or without BSI Kitemark.
Random checks will be performed throughout the day. Any queries to be directed to stewards.
4.Team Managers are required to carry out a gear check on alltheir competitors and horses according to Pony Club Association and EA guidelines. Gear must be checked prior to the 8.00 am start and if a riderreplaces or changes gear prior to commencing another discipline.
5.Disputesand Protests-the TeamManager mustlodge appealsin writing assoon asispracticalon a ISHECompetitor Query Form after resultsbeing posted, together with a fee of $50.00 (refunded if protestupheld)to the Secretary’soffice.The disputewillbe referred to the head steward.When the dispute hasbeen answered the Team Manager will be called to the Secretary’sOffice to receive a reply. The committee’sdecision isfinal. The Team Manager isthe only person to attend the Secretary’s Office for any information,results,complaints, queries etc of any nature during the ISHE Event. Information will not be given to thecompetitor,parent,or guardian.
6.It is the competitor’s/team manager’s responsibility to know when the courses are open for walking and the start time ofeach event. Draw times are an indication of how the day will run. A “move up draw” will applyifscratching occurs.
7.Opening hoursofthe office willbe asper roster on displayatoffice door.Due to a smallcommittee theoffice will not always be open.
